Some afternoons are better than others…

Hey folks. Mira again. How’s everyone doing?

It may sound like I’m just throwing it out there, this meaningless question out into the ether, but I want to know. The 11 of you who read this blog, how’re y’all doin?

Hope you’re well, wherever you find yourselves today. What are y’all listening to at the moment? Me, I’m currently in love with The Civil Wars. Barton Hollow is a sweet, at times bittersweet, haunting, mellow album. Already lost count of how many times I’ve listened to their song Poison & Wine today.

Speaking of love. I’m loving, LOVING, The Head and the Heart. Don’t know much about them, except that they’re a group from Seattle and so wish they were crossing the pond in the near future. Unfortunately, for me, for us Islanders, doesn’t look like they’re going to be anywhere near Manchester, anytime soon. Maybe it’s just a good excuse to head back across the pond myself, catch them in Austin. Think I’m about 5 minutes from convincing Harry to come with me. Think she’d love it. Plus she could sell some bags. Hello Grafea Stateside. Not sure about John-John though. Don’t get me wrong. We love Johnny. We do.
But maybe just leave the musical odyssey this time to the girls.

Anyway, want to share my afternoon playlist. Pretty much forcing it on Harry and John-John, nothing new there.

Dubbing!

Filed under: Harry says hi!, maintaining your Grafea bag — admin @ 06:08 pm

Good afternoon Manchester and beyond. Mira here. The weather right this second, just as I’m typing this in our fair city, is slightly overcast. Don’t worry we’re keeping our spirits up with some very loud music. Started out with some from The Head and the Heart and then switched to our musicatgrafea library on last.fm.

Today it is my great pleasure to finally introduce the woman behind the curtain!
Say hey to Harry y’all… and yes, that’s just my silly nickname for her.
Harry is lovely and amazing, and this afternoon in Warehouse 17 it’s all about showing your Grafea bags some TLC. It’s simple really. Taking care of leather is a little bit like taking care of skin. The mantra is pretty much to moisturize from time to time. Especially so if it’s been weather beaten by the elements… sun, sand and salt air. Now I want to travel. Vacation anyone?
Enough of that, head back in the zone. Leather! Check. Maintaining it so it looks gorgeous for another 100 years… check check.
Well then, now that introductions have been made and we all agree that Harry is hot, let’s talk about dubbing. Don’t quote me on this because I’m not sure if ‘dubbing’ is an actual word. Harry is showing us you need a cotton cloth and some dubbin cream to get started. Don’t be shy, just dab some dubbin with your cotton cloth like Harry’s demonstrating and go for it. Not too many dos and don’ts here, but only apply to the outer shell of your bag. When you’re done dubbing your bag you’ll be happy and content, just like Harry.

Go for it. It’ll make you happy.
